The mission of the gala is to raise funds and awareness for the training and supplying of service dogs to veterans, not only to help them in their day-to-day lives but also for unbeatable companionship.​

Piedmont is Giving Back to the Community

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the program, Operation Freedom Paws is a non-profit organization that pairs dogs with patients that suffer from traumatic brain injuries, post-traumatic stress, and complex post-traumatic stress disorders. 

Through the program, the organization trains the recipient on how to train their own dog to be a service help animal; most of the dogs come from rescue shelters. So, in reality, it is two lives that are being saved at once. During the 48-week training program, the new pair are ready to start their new lives together, helping one another in their day-to-day lives.

We could not be happier to support such a wonderful organization in its quest to make the world a better place for those who need the most help. Such a heartfelt program needs its message spread so that more people are aware of everyone at Operation Freedom Paws and the amazing work that they do.
