Who’s excited for Football season?  The San Jose movers at Piedmont Moving Systems are beyond excited for two reasons.  One, we are rooting for our San Francisco 49er’s to take home the Lombardi trophy this year and two, we are honored to be the moving and storage company who is assisting with moving the team to their brand new stadium.  Yes, you heard that right! The 49er’s are moving from their old stadium, Candlestick Park in San Francisco to a brand new stadium that is being built in Santa Clara.    The new stadium will be called Levi’s Stadium and will be the home of the San Francisco 49ers just in time for the 2014-2015 football season.  The new stadium will be an open stadium with a natural grass field.  In addition to the 49ers having a brand new stadium to play in, this will also be the home to Super Bowl L in 2016.  The San Francisco Bay area is honored to have one of the most watched events around the world take place in its brand new football stadium.  In preparation for hosting the Super Bowl, the stadium will have a seating capacity of 68,500, which will be expandable to 75,000.

To prepare for this move, Piedmont Moving Systems is helping to store and move equipment to the new stadium.  Piedmont is providing a warehouse for all of the equipment for the concession areas.  All equipment will be shipped to the warehouse at Piedmont and then dispersed and transported to the new stadium when needed.  Piedmont will be helping with the move until the stadium is finished in June of 2014.
