Piedmont Moving Systems is a partnered sponsor of the Kyle Petty Charity Ride fundraiser helping raise more than $1.8 million. After almost a three-year Covid hiatus, riders were eager to partake in this meaningful 26th anniversary drive. The Kyle Petty Charity Ride was led by former NASCAR driver and sports analysts Kyle Petty. 

This event included over 225 participants. With 125 actual riders, a great charity, and a beautiful scenic route we can all understand why so many individuals were excited for the event. The route included a 1500-mile drive that started in Phoenix and went through Arizona and Utah, before heading back to Phoenix. The event was incredible and really showed how communities all over the South West of the United States can come together.

Riding for a Cause

The Kyle Petty Charity Ride funds go to Victory Junction. Victory Junction is a camp located in Randleman, North Carolina that specializes in providing a camp experience for children who have mental or chronic illnesses. The $1.8 million will assist in providing campers with their summer camp experience, maintenance projects and building programs. The fundraiser also helps provide upkeep for the Kyle Petty Charity Ride Water Park. 

Since 2004 the Kyle Petty Charity Ride has been happening in honor of Kyle Petty's late son Adam. Together the riders collect donations while on the road, with the slogan Small Change Big Impact they know the importance of every little bit someone can give. Since 1995 the collected fundraisers have provided more than $20 million for Victory Junction and other children's charities.

Celebrities and Sponsors

The 2022 Kyle Petty Charity Ride included several celebrity riders. These celebrities include seven-time champion and NASCAR Hall of Fame member Richard Petty, Hall of Fame inductee Hershel McGriff, NASCAR Cup Series driver Erik Jones, NASCAR legends Ken Schrader and Harry Grant, and NBC Sports NASCAR personality Rick Allen. Each celebrity and sponsor brought their own attention and people to the event helping it be a great success.
